Shop/ RED2012 Syrah
A co-fermented blend of Syrah and Viognier showing earthy notes with a subtle perfume of Viognier. The tannins are youthful, but playful on the palate and will continue to develop with maturation. Drink responsibly with friends and family now through 2025.
This wine will pair well with an assortment of cheeses and savory full flavored dishes. Some suggestions include beef au pois, roasted duck, or a roasted vegetable ragout.
The fruit for this wine was sourced from our certified sustainable farm and hand harvested. We leave a small amount of Viognier out in the vineyard to be harvested at the time of our Syrah harvest. These are co-harvested, co-destemmed through a Euroselect, and then co-fermented using a Rhone derived yeast strain. The fruit is cold soaked for 48-hours prior to beginning fermentation. The wine was pressed off of the skins in 14-days and then allowed to age for 12 months prior to bottling. The wine was racked a total of 6 times post pressing.
