Estate Reserve Malbec
The grapes for this wine were sustainably farmed on our Northville farm. The fruit for this wine was handpicked from our D3 block of Malbec. The fruit was destemmed, must chilled, and put into one ton bins. Each bin had a different yeast strain resulting in a more complex wine. Each bin spent a total of 15 days on the skins before pressing. Malolactic fermentation happened in barrel and the wine was racked a total of six times prior to bottling. The wine was aged in mix of 50% French oak, 35% American oak, and 15% Hungarian oak.
